School Camps
School camps offer students an important opportunity to step out of the classroom and into a world of experiential learning, playing a crucial role in the holistic development of young minds.
In a safe environment, we see growth in areas such as self confidence, independence, resilience and social awareness, while exploring and learning new skills.
Drawing from years of experience facilitating School Camps at established sister property, Woodhouse Adventure Park in the Adelaide Hills, we’re thrilled to bring the adventure to the Riverland. And, to make your camp preparation as easy as possible, we have curated a range of outcome-based 2-night/3-day packages so you can easily select the perfect experience for your group!

SURVIVAL PACKAGE (recommended years 5-10)
With everything from shelter building in the scrub and pioneering construction (building a bridge or raft), to lighting fires with minimal equipment and cooking on lightweight stoves, this program has it all for an active, adventurous bunch of kids!
We’ll take them right back to basics with a program that builds sequentially from fundamental to more advanced survival skills. All of the activities in this package are designed to facilitate team building, boost group morale, and of course, deliver a whole lot of fun with a healthy dose of challenge!
WET & WILD PACKAGE (recommended years 3-10 for terms 1 and 4)
Looking for a camp filled with water, challenge and adventure? Look no further! The Wet & Wild activity package will have students swinging, sliding, swimming and climbing while also having the opportunity to learn new skills and gain knowledge about the area.
It isn’t all fun and games – at every turn these activities will stretch their limits, challenge their comfort zone, and test their teamwork…. but we guarantee they’ll love every minute of it!
LIVING IN NATURE PACKAGE (recommended years 3-10)
Students will get to explore the rich history and environment that Roonka has to offer. These activities will have your students getting hands-on in the world around them! Think: investigating bug life and water quality in our onsite billabong, learning to cook on an open fire, how to set up a campsite and navigate in the world around you.
With a balance of educationally focussed and “just for fun” fun activities, our outdoor classroom is the perfect setting for students to learn how to live in nature.
CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE (all ages)
Choose from a variety of activities led by our team of experienced Activity Facilitators. Each activity duration is 1.5 hours unless indicated. You can expect to fit in eight to ten activities on a 2-night/3-day camp, depending on duration of selected sessions. Activities include:

Package Inclusions
2 night / 3 day school camp package:
- Accommodation – your choice of either bunkhouse accommodation (sleeps up to 58), or tent camping for larger or more adventurous groups (or a combination!).
- Full activity program facilitation by trained staff on the afternoon on day of arrival, full second day (between 9am and 5pm), and morning on day of departure. If you wish to add additional activities on your first or last day – just let us know!
- A huge range of unique opportunities for outdoor learning
- Curated self-lead evening activity kit
- Unlimited access to all fixed onsite activities including the zipline across our private billabong!
Commercial kitchens are available for hire if you prefer to self-cater, or let our professional catering team do what they do best – check out a sample menu.

Self-managed groups are most welcome!
Our 6 bunkhouse rooms can accommodate up to 58 people. For larger or more adventurous groups, add camping to your itinerary!
